  1. I’m going to Croatia this summer and have very limited time (only 5 days), so your post was a lifesaver. After debating a long time over which park to visit (we’re flying into Split), I googled Plitvice vs. Krka and came across this post- you made the decision easy! Looking forward to swimming in the waterfalls!

    • So glad this post could help! You won’t be disappointed. Plitvice may be bigger but you can swim at Krka. Seems like a no-brainer to me! Safe travels

How long does it take from Split to reach the waterfalls ? Also how much did the tour cost you ?

    Sounds awesome !!!

    Thanks

    • The tour is a full day tour so I can’t remember exactly how long it took to get there. But, the tour was 60 euros from Split.

Día de los Muertos in Oaxaca, Mexico! 💀🌼🇲🇽
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
In 2024, I finally got to experience Día de Muertos in Oaxaca, and it was everything I’d hoped for and more! This had been on my bucket list for YEARS.

One of the things I admire most about Mexican culture is the beautiful way they honor those who have passed. Losing someone we love is one of the hardest parts of being human, and I think there’s something so special about having an annual tradition dedicated to remembering and celebrating their lives.

Día de Muertos is actually a multi-day celebration, with different days dedicated to honoring loved ones who have passed, including children and pets.

Families create beautiful ofrendas (altars) filled with photos, marigolds, candles, and their loved ones’ favorite foods and drinks. It’s believed that their spirits return to visit, and these offerings help welcome them home.

What I love most is that it’s not about forgetting the sadness of losing someone. It’s about making space for the joy of having loved them in the first place.

I just think the world could use a little more of this ❤️

If there’s one place that deserves a spot on your fall travel bucket list, it’s New England. 🍁🍂

There’s a reason leaf peeping is practically a sport here! Winding country roads, covered bridges, ridiculously charming little towns, apple cider donuts, and fall colors that somehow look even better in person.

An autumn road trip through New England is one of those trips that absolutely lives up to the hype.

💌 Drop “FALL” in the comments and I’ll send you my complete New England fall road trip guide, including my favorite stops, scenic drives, and everything you need to plan your own trip!
