Hi i am planning on going to Ireland and Scotland between the middle of may to the beginning of June. Do you know what is the temps going to be like? I am a Miami girl… LOL so i would love to not bring so many clothes to keep me warm. i was wondering what kind of advice would you give to someone who is going almost two week.

    thanks! loving your website!

Hey babe! I was actually in Ireland this past June and we got lucky and were greeted with quite a bit of sunshine and not much rain…at all! Which is kind of rare lol. I’d Google as you get closer and see what temps are estimated to be. I got by with some sundresses and jeans/tees, but it’s always subject to change, so bringing things you can layer (flannels and sweaters) would be a good idea—just in case. I hope that helps!

The last time I was in Ireland was Summer of ’96. I brought my fiddle, rented a car and made my own itinerary starting with a week in Kilfenora. My favorite places to visit were places off the map – some hiking trails I liked, some beaches in Connemara and up the coast from there, some hikes near Sligo. I can’t name names, but I loved them all.

    Enjoy your blog!
