Were you able to travel to Dahab? and if so what did you do there?

As an Egyptian woman I’m very happy to see a fellow woman enjoy her time there. It is not an easy destination but your tips are spot-on, well done. One note about the Egyptian Museum: It will stay operational even when the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM, the new one which you mention) opens. The one you visited has recently been renamed as the Egyptian Museum of Cairo (EMC). It is being refurbished in various phases currently so as not to disrupt its operation. When you do make it back, be sure to check out Siwa, Dahab (as the previous poster mentioned), Luxor and Aswan, and all the sites in between (do a cruise–not those super commercial ones, go for a Dahabeya), Fayoum (check out the Valley of the Whales–stunning!) and St. Catherine’s monastery in Sinai. Since you like scuba diving, don’t forget the protectorates of Ras Mohammed and Tiran.

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
