  2. I’m born and raised in Hong Kong. I live in the New Territories which is north of Kowloon. Funny enough I have never been to any of the places you mentioned. Most of them are frequented by the expats but not local people. If I crave western food and I can’t go travel any time soon, I will go to those places. If you want to experience the local food and a bit of the cultural shock, go to Mongkok or even Sham Shui Po. There are a lot of amazing street food and crazy stuff there to see and explore. Also, you are most likely having to communicate with body language because people don’t speak perfect English there.

    • Thank you for the insight, Ronny! I only had three quick days in HK — next time I’ll go more local 🙂

      Hello Ronny!
I’m Monica, from Mallorca (Spain). Next week, my husband and I will come to Hong Kong. Could you recommend us some places for breakfast, lunch or dinner? some typical locals?
      Thank you very much,
      Mónica

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
