    Hi Kiersten,

Great post and amazing blog. Hope you enjoyed your Italian travels. My hometown is not too far away from Positano and the Amalfi Coast, next time you visit that area in Italy you might want to have a look. The towns I can suggest are Agropoli, Acciaroli, Paestum (it has got very well preserved Greek temples), Palinuro and Santa Maria di Castellabate.

“I had always dreamed of visiting Pompeii ever since I was a little girl. I remember learning about the ancient city in grade school and being fascinated by the history and secrets of the events that happened there nearly 2,000 years ago.”

This line blew me away because that’s exactly how I felt, I had to answer test questions on Pompeii in elementary school. I actually just uttered similar lines to a friend the other day. I’ve just recently booked my trip to Rome this winter, and a day trip to Pompeii is my #1! Reading up on your adventures and tips. Thanks so much for the helpful posts!

    • It definitely a experience I would recommend! I hope you have an awesome trip! 🙂

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
