Great blog and photos! I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. Question: Do you recommend renting a car for 5 days(our trip duration) and riving it from the airport to El Conquistador? or pay for transportation to the hotel and just plan excursions from there. Also, I’m guessing the walking distance to the food trucks & El Pescador is about 20 min from the hotel? Thanks ahead!

    • I would recommend renting it for all five days, because it was pretty inexpensive if I remember correctly, and you won’t have to worry about any other transportation. If you don’t plan to leave the hotel much and only do their excursions, then I’m not sure if it would be worth renting it the whole time– but I liked the ease of picking up and returning at the airport since we had to go back anyways!

And yes, the El Pescador is like 10 minutes walking 🙂

Great tips but this may be for someone who doesn’t have to worry about being on a budget. El conquistador is way out of my budget, would take the ferry to culebra and probably camp out there the night. Thank you for a detailed listing of the attractions to see.

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
