I like your blog very very much! Rome is awesome destination, but SOLO? I don’t think I am brave enough to travel just by myself 🙂

    • Yes! Rome is one of the friendliest cities I’ve been to– it also has very easy-to-use transportation, and you can walk everywhere 🙂

    Hi there!
Love the blog! Its definitely been very helpful on planning my trip . I was wondering if you could help me. I was planning on traveling solo for the first time to Italy. I have a week and wanted to get the most out of my trip but also not jam pack too much were my trip won’t be relaxing. Was thinking of starting off maybe in Rome? What other places do you think are a must go if I only have a week in Italy? Are there any secret spots that are not too over saturated that I should definitely make a stop or take the train to? Was also wondering if leaving beginning of june was a good time to visit and if I would be avoiding the tourist crowds? thank you so much in advance for the help.

    • Hi! Congrats on planning your trip to Italy, it is an incredible country. Take a look through my Italy blogs and see if there is some inspiration there: https://theblondeabroad.com/italy/. You truly can’t go wrong with any of the spots in Italy as they are all incredible. If you are looking for some less “touristy” areas, try checking out smaller towns on the coast or the countryside. Have a great trip!

There’s something really special about finding a place that feels like your own childhood… and what you always dreamed of for your own kid 🤍

Tucked away in the Cape Winelands, about an hour from Cape Town, South Africa, @camp.canoe is one of those places that somehow feels both completely off-grid and perfectly convenient.

Set on one of my favorite family-friendly wine farms, @boschendal, you get the best of both worlds—wide open space, no distractions, and just enough nearby to make it effortless with little ones (and fun for the adults).

Days here look like:
– swimming in the dam
– slow mornings outside
– wood-fired hot tub soaks
– braai (bbq) under the stars

It’s a little bit luxe, it’s nostalgic, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay just a little bit longer. ✨

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
