20 Photos to Inspire You to Visit Nice • The Blonde Abroad

Last summer, I traveled through the South of France for the very first time. And, just as I expected, I fell in love!

The pebbled coastline, cute towns, and topaz sea were calling, and I answered.

While I only had a day to visit Nice, it was enough time to get a taste for this famous town in the Côte d’Azur. Nice is the birthplace of the massive tourism boom to the South of France in the 1920s and has been a haven for everyone from artists to the elite for over a century.

If you’re lucky enough to visit on a Monday, like me, you will get a very unique feast for the senses at the Brocante. This antiques market takes over Cours Saleya where you can find French treasures like vintage postcards, costume jewelry and everything in between.

When you visit Nice, you must have an empty stomach, a bikini and a bottle of rosé. Lunch at Castel Plage was one of my favorite dining experiences in the entire South of France.

Delicious food, an incredible seafront table and a chill bottle of rosé = a happy girl.

So when you visit Nice, start your morning in Cours Saleya with an espresso and a big smile, then continue by foot through the small streets and along the beach. Your heart will lead you from there.

Overpacking is genuinely one of my biggest travel shortcomings.

I simply cannot travel anywhere with a carry-on only. Weekend getaway? Beach vacation? Summer in Europe?

Doesn’t matter where or for how long… I will absolutely be arriving with 1–2 checked bags and *so many* regrets as I drag them across cobblestone streets.

I love travel style so much that my wardrobe is essentially costumes. I have the perfect outfit for a small fishing village in the south of France but “nothing to wear” at home.

Beach Kiki, boat Kiki, Paris Kiki, Cotswolds Liki, hiking Kiki, fancy dinner Kiki… they’re all coming and they each packed separately.

@wearhuha has been mastering the underwear game for years, so when they told me they were taking that same approach to comfort and bringing it to an entire Softwear collection… obviously I needed in.

And as the name implies, it’s VERY soft.

The whole collection is made with lightweight, breathable TENCEL™ Modal derived from trees, with that drapey, barely-there feeling that makes it comfortable enough for around the house, but polished and put together enough to wear out and about or travelling.

And because it’s Huha, there are thoughtful little details too—the tank I’m wearing has their signature zinc oxide technology knit into the lining to help keep it fresher for longer.

Basically: feels like pajamas, but I can actually leave the house in it. My favorite category of clothing!

Definitely one to save if you’re planning a trip to Santorini and want something a little different from the classic Santorini experience.

“Pebbled”? The beach is completed composed of stones,some the size of my fist. The hottest selling items in Nice are beach mats.I realize you’re trying to write nice things,but c’mon….
