This brought back SO many memories of Kyoto – and your photography is absolutely amazing! I only spent a few days there a couple of years ago, but hope to go back in off season for more.

Aren’t the photos incredible? And I’m so happy to hear that! Definitely have to go back! 🙂

Just wanted to point out a mistake. The iconic ramen place is “Ichiran” people line up for it and buy packets of the instant version to take home. Ippudo is a different chain, but also ramen, but the bowls and seats look completely different. Been to Japan 10+ times over the past 10 years, there’s also a ton of other regions worth checking out, like Hokkaido, Hokuriku, and Kyushu. A lot of places are accessible via the Shinkansen, and way less touristy! Hope you will get a chance to visit other places soon

Hi Ariel! Thank you for the note. It’s been adjusted in the post 🙂

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
